Mother Theresa told her superiors in Rome, that God had given her a dream to build a mission in India. She was asked, “How much money do you have?” She answered, “I have 3 pennies.” Everyone laughed at her. She was told, “With 3 pennies you cannot build anything.” The tiny nun, all 4′ 8″ of her stood up and said, “With 3 pennies and GOD, I can build anything!” Mother Theresa went on to build 517 orphanages.
Many times we are asked to face challenges that seem larger than what we can achieve on our own. At other times, they may seem to look like they are unattainable – but there is a secret, with God, we can build anything with just 3 pennies – anything is possible with God.
Our God is great! He is awesome in every way. Nothing is too hard for Him – With Him, all things are possible! The Bible promises us in Matthew 19:26: “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” God can and God will do great things for you. If it is in God’s plan, if you turn to God, there is nothing you cannot do. Nothing is impossible with God. But you must turn to Him and ask Him for help. God tells us in Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Our God can do great and amazing things! He is the Creator of the Universe and perfect in every way. Things we can’t even grasp at this present moment are available to us if we’ll simply learn to trust God and stay faithful in prayer, God will do amazing things, He will bring victory into our lives.
You see my friends, God is a God of favor and blessings. You have favor with God and He wants to bless you – after all, He created you, He breathed life into you, He formed you with His own hands. He wants to bless you and bring His favor upon you. God came so that you may live a joyful and victorious life. hen you turn to God in prayer, He will do amazing things. When you turn to God in prayer, incredible blessings occur. God release amazing blessings when we pray. This is the acceptable protocol that God Himself has laid out for us. If we do our part, if we will turn to Him in prayer, if we will call out to Him, then He will do His part and He will bring His favor and anointing upon us and bless us with His grace and with victory.
It seems simple, yet too often we get too busy in our lives and look at worldly answers instead of turning to God in prayer. We have to speak to God – He wants to hear from you. God wants to hear your voice! Look at Psalm 138:3: “As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.” God wants us to talk to Him, He wants to hear from you. And when we turn to Him, when we form a personal relationship with Him, He will answer us. There is something about prayer that strengthens us. God wants to strengthen us for our all the tasks and dreams He has in store for us. All He asks from us is to trust and call out to Him in prayer.
There’s is nothing God can’t do. Anything is possible with God – but it has to be in God’s plan. We can plan, learn and do everything it takes, but only God can.
We can use all our abilities, resources and knowledge, but only God can make it rain. We can work as hard as we can, we can put forth all our efforts, but certain things, only God can do – only He can make happen. After we’ve done all that we can do, we have to remember that only God can send favor, mercy, salvation, and healing. Only God can make it rain. Only He can make paths were there are no paths, open locked doors and make the impossible possible. And we have to acknowledge God and all His work. Proverbs 3:5-6 states: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him…” We can’t expect God to show up in our work unless we do our work. We have to plan that God will do what is needed, that He will provide the rain we need for our crops – for our dreams.
If we will plan on God working in our life and we plan on Him bringing the resources needed to victorious in our lives – He will. You can either wait until everything is perfect before you plant your crop, or you can start preparing your crop. If you will dig the ditches and plant your crop, God will send the rain. If you will do what you can do God will do what only He can do. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like anything is happening, but you don’t know what God is doing behind-the-scenes. You don’t know what great things He is lining up to for you that you can’t see. You just have to have faith and know that God will take care of you.
If God wants it to happen, He can “fund” it – He will provide. God, in His abundance, can provide the resources and all that we need to fulfill His callings and the dreams that He has put in our lives. God can and does provide what we need even when it seems like it can’t happen. All we have to do is ask and walk in faithfulness and trust. We must believe and trust God.
Hebrews 11:1 states that “Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen.” You may not see the possibility of rain coming, but prepare your fields for harvest. Expect God to do great things through your life. Don’t dig one ditch , fill your filed with valleys of ditches – prepare for a great harvest.
If you know that God is calling you, if He has given you a dream, prepare your fields, prepare to have a harvest. God will not give you a dream, He will not call you to do something and not provide the resources you need. It may not come as we expect, it may even look impossible or foolish to others – but if God has planted it in your heart, He will provide. Noah probably looked stupid to his friends building a boat until it started to rain. Although sometimes what is happening around you doesn’t line up to what God has spoken to you, put your faith in God and hold on to what you’ve heard. Don’t let the enemy discourage you from the path God has planted in your heart.
Be a ditch-digger and plant your harvest. Believe for God to do great things. Believe He can and He will.
